Faith is formed in the everyday moments of life.
It grows as we open God’s Word, quiet our hearts in prayer, listen for the leading of the Holy Spirit, and seek to follow Jesus in the places where God has planted us. Often, the deepest work of spiritual formation does not happen in a single extraordinary moment, but through the faithful rhythm of returning to God day after day.
This collection of daily devotions was created with that rhythm in mind.
At Stonemont Church, we desire to be a community shaped by the love of Christ—growing in faith, living according to God’s Word, caring for one another, and carrying the hope of the gospel into the world around us. Following Jesus extends far beyond the times we gather together. It reaches into our homes and workplaces, our relationships and decisions, our joys and disappointments, and the ordinary circumstances of each day.
These devotions are an invitation to make space for God in the midst of those ordinary days.
Each day, you are encouraged to slow down, reflect on Scripture, and consider what God may be saying to you. Some readings may bring encouragement. Others may challenge you, offer a new perspective, or remind you of a truth you have known for years but need to hear again. Our hope is not simply that you will finish each devotion, but that each devotion will help draw you more deeply into a life with Christ.
As you read, take time to linger. Pray before you begin. Keep your Bible nearby. Pay attention to the words or ideas that stay with you. Ask God how the truth you are reading might take root in the way you think, speak, serve, forgive, love, and live.
And remember that although a daily devotion may be read in solitude, we do not follow Jesus alone. We are part of a church family learning together what it means to know Christ and become more like Him. May these pages strengthen that shared journey and remind us that God is at work among us and within us.
May this devotional become more than just another item in your daily routine. May it become a place of meeting—a few sacred moments each day to listen, reflect, pray, and draw near to the One who is always drawing near to us.
